A file transfer via the Internet is the most common way to access MBS. MBS supplies a common file format for each transaction type, such as a purchase order or invoice. You can use the MBS format or EDI Gateway will work with your preferred format. The data transport method you choose to connect to MBS should match your acceptable level of security for sending data over the Internet.
Once MBS receives a file, it will translate the data into the preferred format of your trading partner. Next, the file is transported to your trading partner using the their preferred communication method. If a translation or transport problem occurs, EDI Gateway will work with you and the trading partner to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
